Premier Dance Arts of Los Alamitos

Premier Dance Arts of Los Alamitos (PDA) is located in the heart of Los Alamitos, CA. PDA boasts two renovated and spacious dance studios with sprung marly floors, a baby grand piano, professional sound systems and upgraded HVAC. Dancers of all ages and experience can thrive, network, and train together in a New York City style studio.

Founders Renée and David Kim bring their years of experience dancing professionally in NYC and around the world to PDA. We offer Open Adult & Teen Ballet Classes 7 days a week, with a multitude of class options for every level; from beginning to advanced. Adults have a space and a schedule that has been designed with them in mind. Additional classes, workshops and masterclasses are also added seasonally. Live accompaniment is also provided for certain open classes by some of Southern California’s most amazing pianists.

PDA is home to Los Alamitos Ballet Theatre (LABT), a pre-professional, nonprofit dance company that performs three to four times every season and the Los Alamitos Ballet School where children from 2 years onward can train towards a professional career in dance.

PDA is also the home of the Los Alamitos Ballet School (LABS) where students will be taught the best of Classical and Neo-Classical Ballet, Pointe, Variations, Pas de Deux, Jazz, Modern, and Contemporary. For pre-professional students with exceptional technical and artistic facilities, they have the opportunities to audition for LABT. These aspiring professionals will have many opportunities to hone their craft through various performances every season, including Sugar Plum’s Realm.

Registration is open for the 2023-2024 academic season!

Class tuition is paid in monthly installments.

LABT welcomes special guest artists to share the stage alongside the home company in a dazzling lineup of balletic brilliance. Guest Artists for Ballet in Bloom will include Tigran Sargsyan & Tigran Mkrtchyan, Nicole Voris, and Chasen Greenwood's The Realm Company.
