Los Alamitos Ballet School (LABS) and Los Alamitos Ballet Theatre (LABT) proudly present a comprehensive summer of training and performance opportunities for dancers of all ages and stages—from young dancers discovering ballet to pre-professional artists refining their craft.
Each program is thoughtfully designed to cultivate strong technique, artistry, discipline, and a lifelong appreciation for the art of dance.
LABS Dance Camp
Ages 5–7
No Audition Required
A joyful and imaginative introduction to ballet and movement, perfect for young dancers beginning their formal training in a nurturing and structured environment.

Young Dancer Intensive
Ages 8–11
No Audition Required
The Young Dancer Intensive offers focused, pre-professional training for dancers ready to strengthen their technical foundation while exploring a range of classical and contemporary styles.

LABS Summer Conservatory
Ages 11–25
Audition Required
June 29 – August 1, 2026
The LABS Summer Conservatory is an intensive, conservatory-style training program for intermediate and advanced dancers committed to serious technical and artistic development.
Conservatory Schedule
Four classes daily, Monday–Saturday
9:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Training Includes
Daily classical ballet
Pre-pointe, pointe, and variations
Pas de deux
Modern and contemporary
Musical theatre and jazz
Dance conditioning, strength training, and yoga
Rehearsals and professional development seminars
The program culminates in a fully staged performance in the PDA Blackbox Theater.
LABT Summer Stage Project
Upper-Level Dancers (Ages 14+)
Audition Required
July 13 – August 1, 2026
The LABT Summer Stage Project is an elite, performance-driven experience for dancers ready to work at a professional pace and artistic standard.
Stage Project Schedule
Rehearsals six days per week
Monday–Saturday | 4:00–6:00 PM
Dancers will:
Work closely with professional choreographers
Rehearse with company-level expectations
Premiere original works with Los Alamitos Ballet Theatre
Participation is exclusive to upper-level dancers enrolled in the five-week conservatory session or the final three-week session.

Auditions
(Conservatory & Stage Project Only)
Auditions are required exclusively for the LABS Summer Conservatory and LABT Summer Stage Project.
LABS Dance Camp and Young Dancer Intensive do not require auditions.
Auditions are conducted as masterclasses, allowing dancers to demonstrate technique, artistry, and musicality in a professional setting.
