2. Tuition & Billing
Tuition is due on the 1st of each month, August through May.
Tuition is divided into 10 equal monthly installments based on the full instructional season and is not calculated per class.
Monthly tuition remains the same regardless of holidays, studio closures, or months with five weeks.
Single-class tuition begins at $90 per month.
Tuition is non-refundable and is based on each student’s weekly training plan and place in the LABS program.
3. Registration Fee
A non-refundable $45 registration fee is due upon enrollment each season. This fee applies to all students, including those who enroll mid-season.
4. Sibling Discounts
First student: Full tuition
Second student: 5% off the lower tuition amount
Each additional sibling: 10% off the lower tuition amount
5. Payment Policies
A $10 declined payment fee applies to failed transactions.
Payments not received within 3 calendar days of the due date incur a $25 late fee.
Students may be withheld from classes until accounts are brought current.
6. Withdrawal Policy
Written notice of withdrawal must be submitted at least 30 days in advance by email to LABS@pdalosalamitos.com.
One final full monthly tuition payment will be charged after notice is received. Tuition is not prorated for partial months or withdrawals before the end of a billing cycle.

Thanksgiving Break: November 26–28, 2026
Winter Break: December 14, 2026 – January 4, 2027
Martin Luther King Jr. Day: January 18, 2027
President’s Day: February 15, 2027
Spring Break: March 29 – April 3, 2027
Memorial Day: May 31, 2027
*Makeup classes are allowed for one-day closures only and must be completed within two weeks*

October 1, 2026: Last day to opt out of Land of the Sweets
October 5, 2026: Land of the Sweets rehearsals begin
December 8–9, 2026: Land of the Sweets Dress Rehearsals
December 10–13, 2026: Land of the Sweets Performances
December 16–17, 2026: Sugar Plum’s Realm Dress Rehearsals
December 18–20, 2026: Sugar Plum’s Realm Performances
January 5, 2027: First day of Spring Season
March 8, 2027: Last day to opt out of Spring Performance
March 15, 2027: First day of Spring Performance rehearsals
April 26 – May 1, 2027: Evaluations for the 2027/2028 Training Year
May 25–26, 2027: Spring Performance Dress Rehearsals
May 27–30, 2027: Spring Performances
June 5, 2027: Last day of Spring Season classes

8. Dress Code
Girls:
LABS uniform leotard in the level color (see below)
Skirt (if permitted by level)
Pink or flesh-tone tights
Ballet shoes
Hair in a neat ballet bun
Boys:
White or Black T-shirt
Black Tights
Black Shoes or White Socks with White Shoes
Level Uniform Colors:
Creative Movement Toddlers: Any color
Creative Movement 1 & 2: Light Pink (skirts permitted - no tutus)
Pre-Ballet 1: Rose (skirts permitted)
Pre-Ballet 2: Lilac (skirts permitted)
Pre-Ballet 3: Pacific Blue
Children's Level 1 & 2: Sky Blue
Junior Levels 1–3: French Blue
Pre-Professional 1: Royal Blue
Pre-Professional 2: Azure Blue
Pre-Professional 3: Emerald Green
Pre-Professional 4: Fuchsia
Pre-Professional 5: Red
Pre-Professional 6: Burgundy
Pre-Professional 7: Royal Purple
9. Makeup Classes
Makeup classes must be completed within one month of the missed class.
10. Payments & Enrollment
Payment, registration form, general liability release, and media release are required prior to class participation
All tuition and registration are processed via Los Alamitos Ballet School in Jackrabbit. Please email LABS@pdalosalamitos.com for enrollment inquiries.
Memberships are non-refundable and non-transferable unless otherwise stated
11. Performances & Costume Fees
Winter Performance – Land of the Sweets (December 2026)
Must opt out by October 1, 2026 by emailing LABS@pdalosalamitos.com
If no opt-out is received, the non-refundable production fee will be automatically charged for all dancers in Creative Movement 1 / 2, Pre-Ballet 1 / 2 / 3, Children’s Levels 1 / 2, and Junior Levels 1 / 2 / 3. Pre-Professional levels are obligated to perform. Opting out is not an option unless otherwise discussed with the directors.
Spring Performance – Title TBD (May 2027)
If no opt-out is received, the non-refundable production fee will be automatically charged for all dancers in Creative Movement 1 / 2, Pre-Ballet 1 / 2 / 3, Children’s Levels 1 / 2, and Junior Levels 1 / 2 / 3. 12. Media & General Liability Release
Media Release
By enrolling, I grant permission for my child (or myself) to be photographed or recorded for promotional purposes.
General Liability Release
Participation in dance carries inherent risk. I understand and accept these risks and release Los Alamitos Ballet School and its staff from all liability related to injuries or accidents during classes, rehearsals, and events. I have disclosed any relevant medical conditions and will continue to keep the studio informed.
13. Code of Conduct
Studio Care
No heels or street shoes on the marley floor
Water only on the dance floor
Do not touch the mirrors
Dispose of trash properly
Take home all belongings each day
Only toilet paper may be flushed
Student & Guardian Conduct
Students must listen, follow directions, and maintain focus
Talking is only permitted with teacher acknowledgment
Students may be asked to sit out if they are not following class etiquette
Bullying, harassment, or discrimination is not tolerated
Students must promptly exit the studio after class
Teen/adult dancers should use the terrace if remaining after class
Guardians must drop off/pick up on time and communicate absences
Family Observation
Allowed only during free trial
Please remain quiet and do not call out to students
Notify instructors before class if you must retrieve a student mid-session
Physical Cueing
Dance instruction may include respectful physical cueing. If you or your dancer prefer not to receive physical corrections, please notify LABS in writing and remind instructors at the start of each class.
Communication
It is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to keep their email address on file current and to check for updates from LABS. Notices sent to the email on file will be considered received.
